Artist's commentary
Then Yakumo Yukari spoke to me through weepy, swollen eyes
"...He said that? Hah, he never said anything like that. You know, he never really said that much at all. Out of the blue, he said, 'Yukarin, I love you more than anyone in this world, so, you should love me more than anyone in the world, too.'
...Even without him asking, I already loved him that way.
Huh? His last moments? ...I suppose. He was certainly smiling. He was protecting one of his own. He was always like that.
He was really always did what was right.
... Even when I... told him that I'm a youkai... He looked... into my eyes and said, 'That doesn't matter to me. Yukarin, I love you.'"
---Hearing up to this point, I left the room after thanking her, Yakumo Yukari.
That is, should I have heard more it would have been painful for me.
...I fled. Probably not something a reporter should do. But, she did look like she had reached her limit. I wanted to leave her by herself.
I left the estate, pretending not to hear the sobbing that was coming from the room as I took my leave.
