4/11 is a commemorative day and a marketing strategy thought up by the Calbee, Inc. food company in Japan, which is known for selling the Furugura brand of granola in Japan, that many other food companies also participate in to promote the importance of eating a healthy breakfast.
Transliterated into English, the day is called "shikkari ii choushoku". This name is in reference to the 4/11 date it takes place in, where "shi" is the Japanese word for the number 4, and the "ii" word (which means "good") represents the number 11.
