4/4 is the Day of Happiness!
We consider this day as "the day children meet each other" because it lies in between the Peach Festival and the Feast of Banners.
The Peach Festival is also known in modern times as Girls' Day or Dolls' Day, and is celebrated on March 3rd (3/3). The Feast of Banners is known today as Boy's Day or even more recently as Childrens' Day, and is celebrated on May 5th (5/5). As April 4th (4/4), lies square between Girls' Day and Boys' Day, it's considered the day where children meet, a day for happiness.
There's also some word play going on with the date, as the number 4 is pronounced "shi" in Japanese and the word for meet is pronounced "awaseru". As 4/4 is a day of "two 4s" it is also the day where two 4s meet, or "shiawase", which just so happens to be the word for happiness.Third time sleepingIt's great just being able to indulge in little things you've been wanting to do on your few days off like this...It makes you so happy...I would also like to thank you all for my reaching 20,000 Twitter (X) followers!
