After playing both God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring I started imagining how Kratos could fit in the Lands Between.
I imagine him as a member of Radahns' army who got in the way during The Night of Black Knives and became mortally wounded. While dying, a burning desire to reunite with his family ignited within him, his fury and willpower were heard by Frenzied Flame who brought him to The Three Fingers. Marked by the Fingers and infused with the Frenzied flame death was somewhat more distant, but his mind long gone with one goal in mind, to see his family. Spurred by the frenzy that was blinding him, he could only struggle as he slaughtered his own family and all who faced him. Coming to terms with what he had done the Frenzied Flame started to subside and he regained a just enough of himself to instead focus his fury towards anyone embracing the madness of the Frenzied Flame and anyone seeking to become its lord in particular.

So another type of Rage but still fairly close to his origins.
