北欧神話でも、天界から冥界までの九つの世界を宇宙論的に、それら各方面を結びつけているユグドラシルの樹が存在しますが、それを色々と当て嵌めてみると、このイメージは強ち間違いとも言えないんじゃないでしょうかねぇ。
