Before becoming the infamous bounty hunter known as Lock-On, Vayelyth once had aspirations of becoming an inquisitor for the empire. She had spent most of her childhood, all 19 years of it breaking her back to increase her force mastery and swordsmanship to become one. With the force being strong with her, and intense training, she was already a force to be reckoned with before the age of 15.

She was immensely disciplined for a kid, getting up every morning at 6:30 to get some training in before she walked to school with her girlfriend. Her neighbor, who she was in love with, was a Mandalorian girl in black armour that went to an imperial battle academy, which was situated ext to the force user orientation. It was to help force users found by the empire become loyal to it, with the ones graduating at the top of their class being considered for the inquisitor training programme on Nur. It's a treacherous place, where friendship between classmates was always a front to betray each other. If it wasn't for her Glitch, it would have turned her into quite the misanthrope. She easily trounced her classmates, and the trials she was given by the school.

It was almost easy for her, it was just the frequent betrayal that was hard on her, but she had her girlfriend to console her with that. With how powerful she was at such a young age, she was poised to become something truly terrifying to the empire, but fortunately for the rebels, the day before Vaye was to ship out to Nur, her girlfriend was abducted. It was then when Vayelyth decided that it wasn't worth it to continue with her training. If she could not be with her Saji, she would not be an inquisitor. Instead she would be a bounty hunter, at least until she figured out where her girlfriend was. Once she did, she would finally join the civil war, on the side of the person who didn't take her girl.

With an entire childhood of training, testing her skills again and again, becoming a bounty hunter was a breeze for Vaye, even if she did have to hide the fact that she was force sensitive throughout the 3 years she spent looking for her girl as much as she could. Fortunately she had her force mask ability, and a red lightsaber from her past she could use to wipe out anyone who has witnessed her use the force on the job. It is imperative to her that whoever has Saji does not know that she is coming, or they might relocate her. That's why on her way out of Coruscant, Vaye shed her uniform for the first time and replaced it with jeans and a red jacket, got rid of her ponytail, and hid her saber on her back while carrying a blaster. Lastly, she installed tons of cybernetics, not only buffing her combat abilities further but also making her that much more difficult to recognize.

I love drawing Vaye, and realized I never drew her before she became a bounty hunter, but here she is alongside a short explanation of why she is as powerful as she is. She has essentially been in training as soon as she could have been and was already strong with the force without training.
