Everyone has their vices, even force users. Yirlanier is addicted to gambling, and her payments from contracts tend to go away in casinos. While that generally gets her into a lot of trouble financially, it's not as unhealthy as Vayelyth who drinks a lot and spends most of the time she has left over from drinking, spending time with female company, and doing bounties recovering from hangovers that get increasingly bad. Her fast lifestyle leads to her spending more time than she'd like in rundown bars ordering cheap prairie oysters, a beverage that is supposed to help with a hangover.

This fast lifestyle is generally associated with Vayelyth's line of work, but even the older and more impulsive members of Vayelyth's heartbreaker crew don't drink as much as she does. It is entirely unsurprising though, because Vayelyth has a lot on her mind. Between using her head and detective skills to track her bounties, her main mission of finding her missing girlfriend, and the underhanded things she has done to get there, there are a lot of reasons for Vayelyth to want to get her mind off things as often as possible.
