We don't have a brig
"You know, it's rude to refuse when people offer you drinks where I'm from."
"I'm not refusing! I can't drink with my mask on, and I can't take my mask off with these ridiculous cuffs!"
"Want me to take it off and feed you your beer?"
"NO!"
Yirlandier is a Jedi in disguise. In the imperial era where almost the entire galaxy is out to get her, Yirlandier wears a mask and uses the alias Akira Saito to elude capture. She works as a smuggler and treasure hunter with a small crew to get by, but her actions often lead to her either being in debt, or having a bounty on her head, which is how she met her rival Vayelyth.
Vayelyth has a ship, the heartbreaker. It is a freighter from Naboo with a very distinct heart like shape, which is where the name came from. As it is a freighter built for transporting cargo, it was not built with transporting unwilling bounties. Lacking a brig, Vayelyth will often just handcuff her marks and put them in the couch next to her, sharing her drinks with them while the holoprojector is on.
Yirlandier's preferred style of combat with her lightsaber is based off of Kendo and is very offensive. Meanwhile Vayelyth is a fencer and extremely defensive. The two are mirrors of each other, both having a similar goal in life, both have a small crew helping them in very similar lines of work, both are excellent force users but have to hide it, both prefer unarmed melee combat (Yirlandier prefers martial arts while Vaye is just a boxer) and blasters, but will use the force and a lightsaber if they are cornered, both have the same cybernetics (subdermal armour, optical implants, and strength enhancers both in the legs and arms), neither have any real allegiance to neither the empire or the rebels, and both get extremely defensive when similarities are pointed out.
The two have met on several occassions and despise each other. Whenever they meet, it usually ends up with them trying to kill each other, and it's more often than not because Vaye is trying to get her bounty. I drew the time she succeeded, and Vaye spent the entire flight over to the mining guild who had placed the bounty on Yirlandier just trying to get on her nerves. Of course, Yirlandier is also the person that later vouches for Vaye when she is ready to fight for the rebels exclusively. After they become allies, their rivalry blossoms into a tight friendship. That is, after Vaye breaks her out of the jail she put her in.
