Artist's commentary
This quarantine has opened my eyes to how important the little things are.
I’ve gotten caught up in staring at screens all day, daydreaming of an escape. Caught up in forcing myself to sit at a desk and make art when my body is screaming at me to go.
My wonderful fiancé is the one who is always telling me to step away. To go outside and take a walk. I thought it was silly. A short walk couldn’t possibly cure my wanderlust.
But the other day, we did just that. It was just a quick stroll close by the house, but I could feel my soul sighing. This is what I needed. This is what my heart was missing.
The sun was setting behind the power lines and the warm breeze made the trees hum in unison. It was all so beautiful.
Remember to not take the little things for granted. Even though so many of us have lost so much during these times, we cannot forget all of the things we still possess. Things that are right outside of our doors. 🌱

Right now, all we have is time. And with that abundance, so many feel the pressure of being as productive as we can be. But please remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Feed your soul, rest your heart.
You still have time to do all you want to do.
Take care of yourself first ♡
