This is one that I never showed here until now. I actually completed modelling this over a year ago. But I knew that I wanted to upgrade the Freedom so I waited until I did that before I went back to this one. I was never really happy with the original design for one big reason: that giant backpack has a nice set of thrusters that only point in 1 direction. Great boosting ability but even with the side verniers, it's dodging ability wouldn't be that great. To change that, I've modelled a Backpack management assembly that fits between the Providence's back and Dragoon backpack. With the extra joints, the backpack is now about 3 meters away from the suit (to keep both of them cool), and also capable of 360degree rotation plus some "back and forth" rotation to force the providence's thrust forward and down or backward and up. This also means I can pose the dragoon backpack inot whatever position I want. This might be a big assumption for the engineers if they ever decide to MG'ify the plastic model, but it is an idea that I thought would work. Incidently, this problem is partially solved in the Legend Gundam.
Sooooo. Anyway, Freedom needs an enemy to fight for the planned animation, so here it is, much cleaner than a year ago. As a note, despite what might be assumed by comparing this image with the Freedom image, the Providence's height from toe to "head" is higher than Freedoms.
