Red Comet
More Gundam fanart. Heavily referenced off of Thomas Elliott's artwork of the Sazabi.
Initially imported into Blender for some model work, then exported as FBX. Utilized Substance Painter to recreate some of the textures. Albedo was used as ID mask, with AO being the only map left intact. Normal had facets added on for specular breakup, put into specular PBR initially.
The skybox was made via Alex C. Peterson's tool Spacescape. Exported as a cubemap.
Sazabi and cubemap were imported in Unreal Engine 4. Sazabi manipulated and posed via the Maya Live Link UI. Attempted to do some stuff in Niagara but that wasn't exactly working out.
Vernier thrust flame, planetary haze and other touch-ups done in Photoshop. Looks okay for what is my second full render and foray into Unreal Engine 4.
