Le Silence de la Mer (The Silence of The Sea)
Based on its 2004 movie adaption. The story sets in France when Germany occupied the country. It tells us about a French Girl named Jeanne and her grandfather who must shelter a German soldier named Werner in their house. They refuse to speak a word to Werner as part of their resistance and protest against the soldier who is occupying their country. Unlike their expectation, this German soldier seems so kind and polite, and above all, he is a francophile, a former composer who is dreaming of brotherhood between the French and German nations, deluded by the Nazi propaganda of that period.
Jeanne can't help but feel her heart melted in the end for Werner.
Highly recommended for those who like historical movies or world war movie.
