Painting Mercury Lamp from Rozen Maidan, this work is also one of my Patreon Rewards! I

I have so many memories about the work Rozen Maidan, especially its goth art style and anime songs. The anime and the songs from ALI PROJECT are so perfectly match to each other. I kept listening to the songs during the painting process, it not only built an excellent atmosphere for me to create the artwork, but also provided ideas from the songs’ videos for me to include to the canvas as well!

Originally, I was going to draw Mercury Lamp in the illustration. However, during the coloring process, I thought by expanding the canvas, it allows the artwork to include more characters, making the artwork better and being a more challenging composition as an opportunity for me to learn from fulfilling it.

During the painting process, I set up various challenges and experiments for me to overcome, I learned many things from this work, and I had a lot of fun drawing it!

對於這部作品我有很多回憶，很喜歡它的美術風格和動畫歌曲，ALI PROJECT的歌曲與其動畫的組合簡直是絕配；在畫這張圖的時候，我也一直播放著來自於動畫裡的各首曲子，畫起圖來更有氣氛；也從其影片裡獲得許多靈感。

和草圖、線搞比起來，完成的圖有著比較大的變動：原本的規劃只要畫水銀燈，不過在上色過程中，覺得囊括其他角色在畫面中會讓畫面更讚、描繪起來也更有挑戰性，於是開始把畫面擴大、並且規劃新增的物件、並描繪完成。

在這張畫裡我設立了一些小目標去做各式實驗，在其中學習、體會到不少經驗與技巧，畫起來很有趣！
