Die Feinde unten
Although it is a single engine, it has a wingspan equivalent to two Bf109s, with a large radiator suspended beneath the center of the uniquely shaped main wings, and an impressive contrast between the oddly shaped main wing and the neatly shaped fuselage. Among the prototypes of the late war German Luftwaffe, it is an outstanding design.
Featuring high aspect wings, exhaust turbines, pressurized vertical chambers, and specialized high-altitude maneuvering, this aircraft was designed to meet the incoming Allied high-altitude strategic bombing.
While mass production in this configuration did not occur, if the practical ceiling of 16,000 meters, which far surpasses the B-29, were to be demonstrated, I wonder what kind of tactics would have emerged.
