Protect yourself
A few days ago I had to go out to return the school laptop because the other admin needed it. School was empty. There are only a handful of people cleaning things.
After back home again I immediately took a bath. Gotta stay clean after all.
Things are getting worse. Last Monday, it was announced that emergency school break was extended. The next day, regional selection for National Science Competition was cancelled. A few hours later, it was announced that National Exam for all educational levels are cancelled.
As of today (26.03.20) there are 790 total confirmed cases, mainly on Capital City (701 active, 31 recovered, 58 died) with thousands more Patients Under Supervision all over the country. I expect a big spike in number after govt carry out mass rapid tests. Scary.
My hometown is one of the last cities in the province that yet to have any Patient Under Supervision or confirmed cases. Although there are 5 person still under monitoring.
No lockdown yet but there are extensive nationwide campaigns for social and physical distancing. Cops are dispatched to disperse any crowds. The military is yet to fully deployed though. Only several personnel deployed in every community to assist the police and coordinate with local community leaders.
Streets became quieter than usual. People became more aware of the situation and not making large crowds.
The problem is, people who rely on daily income (food stalls, drivers of ride-hailing services, small auto workshops, etc) are losing money.
