Artist's commentary
The low gravity interstellar fleet Gastega visits the Bellatrix system in the Orion constellation. Twelve centuries have passed since leaving the solar system. Using the Bellatrix system's third gas giant for a gravity assist, the fleet accelerates towards a planet a further 120 light years away.
Continuation from an image included in the "Practical Guide to Digital Painting" published by Shinyusha. If there was a gas giant like Jupiter near Bellatrix it might look something like this... that was the idea. Are you able to see the Orion constellation from where you are?
