Dolphins are not fish, but mammals like whales. Until now, we didn't know much about dolphins, but recently researchers have been surprised by what they've found out.
Dolphins make various noises in the water, and we now know they're talking to each other. On this subject, an American, Dr. Lilly, says that dolphins may be using actual words to communicate just like humans.
Moreover, depending on how long it takes for dolphins' noises to bounce back to them, they can tell how far away things are, and they're also said to imitate human laughter and modes of speech.
By the way, there's a theory that says an animal's intelligence can be discerned by examining the size of its brain and the number of wrinkles on it. When we do this, we realize that dolphins have large brains with lots of wrinkles.
Therefore, if dolphins were ever somehow to live on land, because of their intelligence, some say they would surely defeat humans.
