𝕋𝕤𝕦𝕜𝕦𝕪𝕠𝕞𝕚【#𝟘𝟚】
【月読尊/Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto】
He is the middle child of the three brothers and has older sister "Amaterasu" and the youngest "Susanoo".
They are children whose father is "Izanagi" and mother is "Izanami".
They live in the Land of gods known as "Takamagahara".
Tsukuyomi governs the night. And he is the deity that deified the moon.
He is dedicated to Kotai Jingu in Ise, Mie Prefecture, Japan.
【Meaning】
“月/tsuku” means ”the moon”.
“読/yomi” means “insight” and ”reading”.
“尊/mikoto” is a word that after the name of a god or a noble (Lord; Highness)
【Concept】
In this illustration, he carries the famous samurai sword "Mikazuki(means crescent)Munechika".
Samurai sword is a weapon that took its current form around 1200 AD,so that it did not yet exist in the days of God.
However, the Japanese national treasure "Mikazuki Munechika" has a moon motif and is a very beautiful sword. This sword is historically valuable and is the ultimate work of Japanese art, so I gave it to him as a character design.
