7. MAZ537
Drivers of the Arctic Alliance need to drive their cars long distances in the coldest areas on the planet. In permafrost areas, gas stations and roads are very scarce, which makes vehicle reliability and maintenance far more important than driver comfort.
MAZ-537 is a twelve-cylinder diesel-powered military truck with a design load of 50 tons. The later version was upgraded to a load of 65 tons. Production was discontinued in 1990.
The MAZ-537's cab provides seating space for the driver and 3 passengers. It has a roof hatch on the top and is equipped with an additional independent engine heating device. The vehicle is driven by a 12-cylinder D-12A-525A diesel engine located directly behind the cab.
It is widely used in the military and civilian fields (for example, artillery towing trailers, tank transport vehicles and airport tractors, and early also used for ballistic missile transportation and loading). In the civilian field, it is used as a heavy towing trailer and is responsible for extreme conditions. Carry super heavy cargo.
Vivica’s truck is modified from a MAZ-537L tractor. Using the same chassis design as the G type, the curb weight is 23.7 tons, the GVW is 39.1 tons, the GCVW is 240 tons, and the maximum speed on the road is 60 km/h. The L-type is equipped with a cargo hopper and a winch. The working cable of the winch is 100 meters long and can provide 15 tons of traction, which can be used for loading and unloading and self-rescue in muddy terrain. This model was originally used to tow aircraft with a maximum weight of 200 tons at the airport.
In order to meet the needs of modern freight transportation, Vivica removed the cargo bucket and replaced it with a traction seat, and changed the L-shaped protruding front frame tow hook to the inclined built-in style of the other models, which is almost the same as the G-type.
