Indie Celebration
It's been a long time since April, 2014, when I made a drawing featuring 65 games of smaller scale (usually encompassed as Indie, though that's not quite right for some, depending on who you ask. I'm calling them Small-Scale, mostly to encompass them as non-bombastically-big). Now, I got to challenge myself and up the ante! 💪
Here's a new Smaller-Scale Game celebration, featuring 175 different games! It'd be a miracle if anyone that's not me could name 100 of these, given that some are obscure or currently in-development. I put those that, in one way or another, have meant something to me, by being fun, hilarious, cathartic, or even those I haven't played yet have made me stop and think about them. 🎮
Games like these have helped me become who I am and do the things I like, inspiring me for their stories, their artwork, their characters, settings and worlds. Even their meta stories of success or failure, the environment of the developers, it's all fascinating. While I originally made my first crossover picture as some sort of action-heavy cool-looking set, I wanted to do something that looked more like a party this time around. For I like to think that game development, at this scale, is something that anyone should be able to join in and feel part of.
I hope you all like it! 🤖
While you're here, I'd like to pitch you our studio, Whales And Games! We've got a bunch of short games you should play! Available there and at our itch.io page! And if you want to hang out with us, feel free to join our Discord server! 🐳

Here's 2014's picture. Not everyone made the cut, even if most were considered still. And trust me, I have a list of 60+ that didn't make the cut. There are way too many fantastic games out there!:
