幼少時にとてもかわいがってもらいましたしね。
実は祖父が亡くなったときに一度不義理を働いてるので、二度目はないです。
その時は新創刊の雑誌の連載一発めで、これを落としたら二度と仕事が来ないだろうなという状況だったので、不本意ながら電報で済まさせてもらいました。
そのあと田舎に行ってめちゃめちゃ謝りました(^^;)

というわけで、明日からこの話の本番がスタートです(笑)

She doted on me a lot when I was a child.

I'd actually once done the dishonor of working when my grandfather passed away, so I wasn't going to do it a second time. Back then, it was my first serialization in a newly launched magazine, and the situation was such that if I dropped the ball, I likely would never find work again, so I reluctantly made do by telegram. Afterward, I went to the countryside and did some major apologizing. (^^;)

So, this being the case, the real meat of the story starts tomorrow. :-)
