塗ってる化粧品なんかに金属が含まれてたら、それが発熱してやけどしたりするそうですね。

ちなみにCTは『コンピュータ断層撮影』と言って、体内に放射線をあてて、それが通過する強弱を映像化するそうです。
中でごつい機械がものっそい速度で回転してて壮観です。

MRI stands for "magnetic resonance imaging", it seems. Since it uses super-powerful magnetic fields, bringing in metallic objects is strictly forbidden. If the cosmetics you're wearing contain metal, they'll heat up and burn you.

Incidentally, CT is "computed tomography", which applies radiation to the inside of the body and converts the intensity of what passes through into imagery, or so I hear. This chunky machine inside it spins like all get-out, and it's quite the thing to see.
