当時、携帯はPHSがぼちぼち普及し始めたくらいでまだ持ってる人はそんなにいませんでした。
電話ボックスに住所を書いてたりするので迎えに行くのはラクでした。

I had him buy some snacks while he was at it. :-) At the time, cell phones were PHS's that were gradually starting spread around, so not many people had one. There was an address written on the phone booth they were using, so picking them up was easy.
