APH - Hold Pruski
For ~Ugly-baka-girl Hug
The topic: Poland & Germany minus the waah waah angst.
It was almost impossible to find something that wasn't about the 20 century, because Germany only unified late in the 19th century - that's why Prussia had to stand in as one German state whose history is probably most heavily involved with Poland.
Sorry for taking so long! I hope you're not in shock seeing poor Feliks in such a fetching dress - I based their outfits on the clothes in the painting (see below), and the Polish king is wearing a sparkling golden gown. (I suppose Feliks' ~interesting~ fashion sense has to come from SOMEwhere.)
[history lesson incoming!]
The ""Prussian Homage"":[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prussian_Homage] of 1525 was when the last Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights, after meeting Martin Luther, jumped ship from Catholicism to Protestantism, secularized his lands and founded the Duchy of Prussia as a fiefdom to the Polish king. The Holy Roman Empire and the Vatican were mightily pissed off. :D (Big Grin)This is one of the few instances in history in which Prussia was in a friendly relationship with Poland. Other than that, I'm afraid historically they pretty much win the worst-neighbours-ever award, considering later in history Prussia would participate in wiping Poland off the map numerous times. In turn, today Prussia is no more and its eastern regions belong to Poland.

Luckily all our countries bicker over these days are the occasional EU drama, asparagus and football matches.
(Speaking of which: the story goes that till now, Poland has never managed to beat Germany once in a European or world cup football match. Maybe 2012? Until then, there is at least a video game victory for Feliks down there. ;) (Wink)
