Fairy-ly odd
Anyone who's even remotely up to date with Pokémon news should now be aware of that Gen VI brings another type to the table. If you didn't know, then I apologise for the lack of spoiler tags and hope that you can salvage your future game experience despite this brutal revelation forced upon you. My personal opinion of this new contribution is that it feels somewhat goofy since 'Fairy' is a really vague term of what the type actually constitutes, but since I've so far been able to play with Ghosts, Bugs and Dragons just fine without questioning their inner workings, I'll just shrug this one off. I'm more interested about its impact on the type chart anyway, so while it's late to be discovered, I'll be eager to try it out.
With that said, I've been meaning to make a strip about Glalie's heritage for some time, with the original idea taking place at the daycare. But since I've already exploited that location several times in my earlier strips, I wanted to use a different approach, and the news of the type with the same name certainly gave me the opportunity to joke and be informative all at once. At least in the latter aspect. But this is yet another strip which is more centered around a humorous observation rather than an actual punchline, so if it only managed to make you smirk, I'd be happy.
Nerd Rage also highlighted this topic but with a different approach, so if this one was a miss, then their strip might serve your needs better.
