翠炎は去年から色々考えていた世界に出てくる生物の一人で、こんな感じの妖怪です。

海江翠炎（わたえすいえん）
種族：妖怪
妖怪になる前：生まれて間もない頃から、飛びぬけた毒性をもっていたヒョウモンダコ
出生：江戸時代後期

同種と比べて、強すぎる毒を持つ突然変異体として生まれた。
唾液のみならず体液すべてが猛毒であり、体中から毒が漏れ出てしまう体質。
感情の起伏で分泌毒の種類や強さが変化してしてしまう。自己制御はできない。
そんな彼女に近寄るものは居なかった。

しかしあるとき、こんな自分を受け入れてくれる1人の人間と出会った。
彼との出会いをきっかけに、彼女は人型の妖へと姿を変えることになる。
人の姿を手に入れ、ひと時の幸福な時間をすごすも、ある事件をきっかけにこの毒が原因で彼を殺めてしまう。

しゃべるのが壊滅的に苦手で無口だが、大事だと思うことはちゃんと口で言おうとする。
感情の波をできるかぎり抑えようとしているが、なかなかうまくいっていない。

Suien is a youkai from the series I've been working on for the last year or so. Here's some more information about her:

Species: Ocean Youkai
Before Turning Youkai: A Highly Venomous Blue-Lined Octopus
Born: Late Edo Period

Due to a random mutation, Suien was born with poison even stronger than others of her species. This extends to all her bodily fluids, making her leak poison wherever she goes. Her venom becomes even more potent when she experiences strong emotions; sometimes it changes into a different kind of toxin altogether. This isn't something Suien can control, it just happens naturally. Due to how dangerous she is, she was shunned by the sea life around her and grew up all alone.

Then one day, she met a human man who accepted her for who she was, poison and all. This led Suien to transform into a human-like youkai. She and the human were happy together for a time, but all too soon he succumbed to her poison and died.

Suien is incredibly shy and doesn't talk much. However, she will make an effort to give voice to her thoughts if she feels it's important enough.
