Big bowl and broad noodles
This is a meme related to Chinese-Canadian rap singer Kris Wu.
On Jun.30 2017, Kris Wu participated in an entertainment show, where he was challenged with a task: Make noodles in a Shaanxi restaurant while free style rapping in local dialect about the noodle he made. It was a demanding task but Wu was able to complete it, albeit receiving disappointing feedbacks. However, his peculiar rap interested quite a few netizen, and they made this rap into a song named Big Bowl and Broad Noodles, mocking Wu and the rather puzzling lyric of his rap.
Wu was upset at first, but he eventually chose the other way for the sake of PR. While Cai Xukun filed a law suit against all Bilibili users who made mocking music videos of him, Wu went out of his way to make this memetic song an actual piece of music.
