KEBAB SHOOTER
Funded by Karadzic watercom.ltd, KebabShooter: Pro, a AAA virtual reality FPS game that was in development for 2 whole years, finally had its first trailer announcement. As a 21st century evangelical warrior, player can use all kinds of customizable weapons, and eliminate all kebabs and their pig hating mosques in the city of Christchurch. Also, a free OST disk has been released at the same time. It contains 5 sizzling memetic tracks of different styles that adds all kinds of immersion in the game. My personal opinion on this:
First of all, I'm not interested in weird religions, just leave. (Shuts door) I watched the whole recording of this incident, and it had quite some impact on me. However, I don't have a religious background, nor will I stand for either side of this. What I wanted to say is that this gunner aimed for meme at the beginning, and executed perfectly. Meme is the strongest weapon on internet, and he used this to propagandize his thoughts and his deed. Now on the internet, we have 5 popular songs, 1 YouTuber, and countless drawings about historical events written on his gun, polluted by the meme generated by this incident. Even this incident itself has become a meme, and it is further polluted by the already spreading memes, spreading wider and even further.
Although New Zealand government is pleading people to stop paying attention to the gunner and pay necessary attention to the victims instead, and many Western internet media tried to control the spreading of these polluted meme, but the undeniable fact is these incident related meme are still well and strong.
For those who are familiar with meme culture, you must have already realized the cold fact: criminals that know how to control, use, and pollute meme are on the rise. Will there be more similar incidents in the future, and work their way slowly into our mind like this?
