The proposed Cruiser Project which was part of the Z-Plan, the armament plan of the German Kriegsmarine. Hence that, the proposed plan came in 1940. 
She used to have a name, but she laid it off and forgot it once she became Hindenburg, hence why this is her canonical name. But her real name before she became who she is today was "Ylva Raeder", not related to the Admiral who proposed the Z-Plan.
