何が起きたか一瞬理解できませんでした。

「PCで仕事」自体は95年に東京に引っ越してきた直後からやってはいました。
コミックボンボンのレタリング文字のCG加工とか写真加工とか。
Macでビーダマンとかトランスフォーマーとかガメラの写真を加工してました。

出力してくれるところがなかったり、あっても高かったりしたので、自分の漫画仕事でCGを使いだしたのはもうちょっとあとですね。
2000年前後のお話です。

For an instant, I couldn't comprehend what had happened.

I've been "doing work on a PC" since right after I moved to Tokyo back in '95. I was doing lettering, CG alteration, photo alteration and so on for Comic Bom-Bom. I'd be altering photos of stuff like B-Daman, Transformers, and Gamera on a Mac.

Since there was no place to output it, or if there was, it was expensive, was a little later that I started using CG to do my own manga work. That's a story from about the year 2000.
