APP is a value used in the popular Cthulhu TRPG based on the beauty or ugliness of PC's physical appearance. 3-4: A level of facial deformity at which letters of encouragement arrive from across the nation. 5-6: Ugly enough to appear on Beauty Colosseum (Makeover TV show). 7-8: Ugly woman. 9-10: Below average. 11-12: Above average. 13-14: Handsome. 15-16: Idol. 17-18: A peerless beauty who turns all heads as she walks down the street.
