Ryuujou Requests Pacific Saury Fishing Support from the Land-Based Air Corps

Tateyama, located in Chiba on the east side of Tokyo Bay, was home to Tateyama Naval Air Station during World War II. The base hosted the Mitsubishi G3M (Type 96 land-based attack aircraft), the Mitsubishi A5M (Type 96 fighter), the Nakajima B5N (Type 97 bomber), and notably the Kyuushuu Q1W Toukai anti-submarine patrol bomber depicted here. Today the base still serves the JMSDSF.
