About the Piece:

To celebrate the announcement of Twilight Princess HD for the WiiU...I offer this piece! I am a dummy!

I had so much fun doing this piece it's not even funny. La la la la

After doing my Hyrule Avengers pieces, I found myself really loving photomanipulation with game characters and began brainstorming some new ideas I could work on. Merging classic art pieces with gaming soon came to mind, and I knew I immediately wanted to do Midna meets the Mona Lisa. Midna's demeanor really fit the original piece, in my opinion, and when it came to deciding between Princess Zelda and Midna for this piece, it was her overall personality that won her this portrait. Nod

I intend to use Princess Zelda in a different work, though, so Princess Zelda fans fear not. ;) (Wink)

I tried to make this piece feel as "twili" as possible, although Midna is having the portrait done within the Twilight Realm. The coloring is a bit purple/gold and hazy like the twilight realm and obviously those little black rectangle thingies are indicative of the place, as well. Hopefully it looks OK and not too cheesy! Giggle

I really enjoyed doing this piece and I hope all you Midna fans enjoy this latest portrait. The frame stock really makes it, IMO, so thank you to EveyD for providing such a great HQ resource! Heart

A note regarding my signature on the piece: I've had quite a lot of people re-posting my works to tumblr and Facebook without linking back to me recently. While I am extremely flattered folks would want to share my works with other fans, it's a bit saddening to not receive any credit or acknowledgment of any sort for my time/effort whatsoever. :( (Sad)

Thus, I'm going to include my signature on most pieces I create from now on. I'll try to include them in an aesthetic way - as I did here - but please do not remove it. On behalf of myself and other artists, please give credit where credit is due! Artists - amateur and professional - put a lot of effort into their pieces and deserve to be recognized for their hard work.
