Oh MAN Junko's theme is good. I'm just waiting for proper arrangements of it and hoping for some good circles to step in. =P

*ahem* The art? You want to hear about the picture? Well I have been working on it for quite a while and I remember that the sketch of it (linked below) was a big artblock breaker for me. I had this huge "I can't do sketches..." period and making this one healed me. I'm not sure what was about it. Perhaps the lack of anatomy and more of geometry and symmetry?
Junko's original design has a chinese dress and "seven tails of purity" so I figured why not make her a chinese dragon. Why the heck not, right? A SEVEN-TAILED CHINESE GODDAMN DRAGON.

Anyways, I enjoyed painting it SO MUCH. (There's no lineart so it counts as painting.) I was stuck for a while with how was I supposed to start shading. Light from the moon, the tails and the danmaku, and all with different lights - I was lost! But starting with the pink tail light was the way to go in the end. Gotta start somewhere.
Happy with the danmaku too. It looks neat.

In other news, I may not be finishing much until next year. I might, but I may not. Gonna be in Canada for 7 weeks so... yeah. =D
