1000台湾ドルはだいたい4000円弱ってところでしょうか。
日本でいうところの1万円札みたいなもんなので、とっとと使って細かいお金にしといたほうがいいみたいですね。

あと何かあった時のために、成田空港で入れる旅行保険には入っといたほうがいいです。
ネット上であらかじめ入っておくとちょっとお安くなるそうです。

TW$1000 is just under ¥4000, I think. It's rather like a ¥10,000 note in Japan, so it seems that it's best to use one right away and break it into smaller change.

Also, just in case something happens, it's better to get travel insurance when you get to Narita Airport. I hear it's a little cheaper than buying it ahead of time online.
