Ghost Story of the Appearance of Kitsune
In a certain prefecture in the Kanto region, in Kagamishi, there may or may not be a fox god, a ghost fox and a demon cat that live together as a family.
• Glossary: "Self": A classification of the before mentioned "strangeness", the rule of existence/the name it's known by/the way it exists. The "self" is a term applied to high level youkai above the 5 elemental catastrophes. They generally have a high intelligence, and are more spiritual existences than "strangeness".
By nature, it is very diverse, and can range from those who co-exist and live with people, to those who attack a distinctly defined set of humans, so depending on who they target, they can be either good or evil.
• Character Introduction "Lady Hakuji": A great fox god of rice, with the rank of kuuko.
As rice is a symbol of wealth, from ancient times until the Edo era, she was one of the leading youkai in the country, but recently, she quickly lost believers, and moved out to the rural areas of Kanto. There, she now lives as a normal human.
Out of youkai, she has an odd Japanese name. (The ones who live with her are mostly spongers, as it's unusual to have only 1 person on your family register.)
During her life, she's collected more than enough stuff, but she works at a tea shop under the name of "Adashino Rin" so she isn't a NEET or such. Also, since she's a kuuko, she doesn't need a tail, so she's a "tailless fox".
• Character Introduction: "Saasa" and "Kokinu": A combo of a red fox and a demon cat.
They are mikos who worship and attend to "Lady Hakuji". Their personalities are at opposite ends of the spectrum, in a good way, but when dealing with "Lady Hakuji", they are both similar in that they have a high loyalty to her.
