倉庫から盗んだ錠剤は３粒。他の工員たちのように要領良く生きる事のできなかった彼女は、この世からおさらばすることにした。オーロラ色をしたそれを、初めに一つ飲み込む。すると、長い間彼女を苦しめ続けた人間への恨みが嘘のように消えた。続けて二つ目を飲む。透明になった心は、自らの無知と愚かさを知った。そして最後の一つを飲んだとき、彼女は自分の棲む星を見つめていた。テニスボール大の惑星の片隅で、小さくうずくまった一人の少女が、震えながらその命を終えようとしていた。
