雑誌というのは『ファンロード』ですね。
昔はインターネットなんか一般には普及してなかったので、同好の士を集めるのはこういった雑誌がメインでした。
同人誌の奥付にもフツーに住所書いてたりして、今じゃ考えられないですね。

The magazine in question was FanRoad. The internet wasn't as widespread in general back in the day, so this kind of magazine was the main way to gather together people of common interest. We did things back then that are unthinkable now, like just putting our normal addresses in fanzine colophons.
