Neeeevermind I see how it works now.

Edit: there should probably be a warning about galleries for the fetched tags when it's a gallery, a lot of artists just dump a variety of images in a gallery and then tag it with random series that happen to appear in 1/40 images in that gallery.

It's not a big deal on the upload page since you've already seen that it's a gallery but on the edit page you can't tell one way or the other.

Can the social media sharing buttons on image pages be made any smaller/hidden somehow? I don't care to see them/don't plan on sharing my danbooru habits with people, so they are of little/no use to me.

This. Remove them, give me the option to remove them, or at least make them really small somewhere unobtrusive...

Has anyone added the bits about "other names"/Pixiv search to any wiki pages yet?

help:translated_tags

You're linked to this page when editing the other names by the "Other names (view help)" link.

The similar button as well as the artist button on the upload page stopped working some hours ago.

You're looking in the wrong place. The similar results don't open in a new tab, they appear above the tag box on the same page.

I don't know what you're talking about with the artist finder. Works for me. It might be that the artist you're trying to upload from doesn't have an artist entry set up right, so the artist finder can't do anything.

What kind of warning? Don't know where that could go.

I know that one similar picture is displayed on the upload page. A great feature to prevent doubles, but the similar button opened a new tab with way more information. It showed multiple doubles, less similar pictures with maybe a different background and more.

I'm talking talking about the two buttons right besides the source field on the upload page. Both stopped working.

If you want that page you can manually do a search on http://danbooru.iqdb.org/

I know what you mean, they worked as intended when I tested them.

If the artist finder button isn't working for you please link the specific post it's not working on.

Oh, just above the artist line. Something simple like "Gallery. Tags may not apply to all images."

edit: You could probably even use the "Manga ##P" section to have it figure out when to apply it.

Re: red border notes: I mentioned a similar problem earlier. It seems that sometimes the browser interprets swiping over a note as an attempt to move it and locks all the notes in some kind of pseudo-edit mode.

+1 to hidable share buttons. I used a klugey Adblock solution to hide them on the computer, but on mobile I'm constantly afraid I'm going to accidentally share some unsavory material with my friends and family. If someone CSS-savvy could maybe tell us how to achieve the desired effect in Advanced Settings, I'd be grateful.

/* Hide the share section */
#c-posts #a-show #sidebar section:nth-child(5) {display: none;}

But note that this is kind of a hack. If the layout of the page ever changes in the future (it probably will) this css could mess up and hide something instead of the share section (such as the options section, which you probably don't want hidden). Just use this as a temporary measure.

I can't exactly tell you, but try using this link of the thumbnail of post #1665045
http://lohas.nicoseiga.jp//thumb/3931395i? and it doesn't work. [i used different thumbnails from posts that are already in danbooru but it doesn't work]

It looks like there was a bug where Seiga thumbnail/sample urls got normalized incorrectly so the site couldn't extract an image from it. Fixed.

There was also a similar bug for Pixiv thumbnails (more specifically, the ones that have /img-inf/ in them), fixed that too.

That makes sense: the red borders may represent a change not yet saved to the servers. It could interpret a tap or scroll as an edit of some sort.

Or this, which hides the buttons though not the Share header:

div.addthis_toolbox { display: none }

Thanks and kudos to both!

I mentioned the red border notes around two months ago. I know it's because of the unsaved changes to the notes, but there are two weird things about this that make it a bug:

  • If a note has the red border, the text in the notes can't be seen let alone edited.
  • Up until about two months ago I couldn't (accidentally or deliberately) move the notes on my phone.

As far as I know this only applies on touch screen devices. Refreshing the page usually fixes the problem, but the bug is still annoying and make annotation-heavy posts very frustrating to view. I still can't move the notes on a touch screen if I try. Even this bug seems to be caused by them moving only like a pixel or something.

Just swiping the screen to move around the page seems to be enough to trigger this sometimes.

It's not common but sometimes an image won't have a proper tag but will have a ##users入り tag such as オリジナル500users入り, is there any chance these could be fuzzy matched or do we just have to litter every popular tag's wiki with a bunch of these?
