Danbooru 2 Issues Topic

Not sure if this is an issue, or a feature, but I'll report it anyways. I just tried adding two pictures to the beginning of pool #714, and discovered that hitting the order link from the pool page does two things:

-it loads every single image in the pool, which for large pools takes a long time (>5 mins in the aforementioned pool's case)
-it only loads up to the ~1000th image, which for pools > ~1000, makes it impossible to order pictures after a certain point

I found a workaround, by using the edit link from the pool menu, which lists all of the posts in the pool by post# instead of by image. It also lists all of the posts, no matter how large the pool is.

As I said, I'm not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be or not, but maybe, when a pool grows beyond a certain size, a different interface could be used instead, e.g. something similar to the edit interface, or maybe just direct the user to the edit interface, or possibly a notice to the user on the order interface about using the edit interface for large pool sizes.

This is because even if all of the images in the pool had been displayed in the example I mentioned, it would have been extremely ungainly trying to drag and drop an image from the end of the pool all of the way to the beginning, or to anywhere in the middle if that was the case.

Most probably, but is it working (in Danbooru 2) as intended? If yes then there might be more broken notes in need of edition out there, as they were working in Danbooru 1 correctly.

Oh, you can delete the OP of a thread without deleting the actual thread. Interesting.

Also you can apparently delete threads just by adding " (Deleted)" to the end.

You mean adding it to the end of the thread's title? What makes you think that would delete the thread?

It worked in the past unless I was just having browser caching issues (which is possible.)

It's entirely plausible that deleted isn't a status and just a check that filters thread titles that end in (deleted) anyways.

Deleted is a proper status field unrelated to the title.

So often I open an image and think "oh, there's a tag I didn't think of" and want to open a new search, in a new tab, with 2 tags that are in the image I'm viewing. Currently the easiest way I know how to do this is to middle click the longer tag, then type the second tag in.

This is really inefficient. I do 2 searches instead of one, which means downloading all those thumbnails. There are + and - buttons that are no use to me because they just ammend to my previous search, so I'd have to delete the last search from the tag list before adding the second. Can't we make it so that clicking the +'s and -'s adds the tag to the search box on the current page, then middle clicking [Go] opens the search in a new page?

If you're trying to amend your current search instead of replace it you could + the new tag into a new tab and then remove the tag you intended to replace, this means no extra thumbnails downloaded.

No, that's not what I mean. I mean opening an image and it making me want to open a completely new search, but usually from the tags in the image. A tool that let me select 2 or 3 tags then click "open search in new tab" would be very useful.

I would cut back on a lot of time I spend clicking and typing about, and cut down hugely on how many searches I do intermittently to get to the search I really want (especially now I've set searches to 60 iamges a page). I don't how how many others do this, so I don't know whether it's just me this is serving.

issue #1387

Note that RaisingK's userscript includes this feature already, under the name "Change +/- Links".
