Danbooru 2 Issues Topic

Combos just don't show up in popular searches because the likelihood of one combo being hit is very low.

They are explicitly removed from the missing search report because they ended up just adding noise.

Or alternatively, at least for popular searches, combos could add a point to each tag separately.
Would be a bit harder for missed searches, as 1 tag can exist while the other doesn't.

Now hijiribe even has the same problem as the donmai server. Espcially high problems with tagme (getting search results and if they finally get some results, the edit box won't disapear for some time after editing the post. Happens only with this search.

Noticed that some tags won't show any results, even if there are pages for them. Bug? Or intentional?

What tags? It could be that the cached page count is out of date, or all of the posts are deleted, or you aren't allowed to see the posts (e.g. loli).

Trying to upload the Pixiv version of post #2231477, but it keeps telling me that the upload is a duplicate (well, actually it is. But Danbooru prefers the Pixiv version rather than Twitter version). Is there any way to get past of this?

That's because Pixiv version actually is a duplicate. And it means both files are exactly the same so what's the reason to upload them twice?
It's allowed to upload better (less compressed and/or higher res) versions, and usually these are the pixiv ones but not always (see for example post #2281693)

I don't know if this is a bug or not but is it possible that also users who are "only" members can give a score now? Considering this post here post #2284848: Only vladtet909 can give a score but it has already a score of 6 (so either 5 other users gave a score (most unlikely) or members can give a score too.

Hmm, that might be true, there seems to be no new posts with up-score count less than favorite count. Perhaps https://github.com/r888888888/danbooru/commit/bb3eb9f9806bd8f33e793a5da582825559ec3ac2 went live already? Kind of strange though, usually those commits are delayed until a new version.

Ok. So it's already leaking but if it is not completely. So I wonder: Are older posts also getting this new feature. For example post #903347 has the highest fav score. Would that mean with this new funtion the score would raise over 841?

Thats must be done manually (doesn't do automatically when you ascend to Builder, or adquire a Gold/Platinum account).

Assuming this isn't a bug, that's a strange addition and I don't know what purpose it's supposed to serve. Favorites from Members stopped counting towards score years ago, mostly as a form of quality control.

Sure. As more people have been signing up, the quality control aspect has consequently decreased. Score and favorite count are highly correlated now:

I'm willing to revert this change if it doesn't pan out but I want to see how it affects rankings. My suspicion is that it won't really change anything.

I also implemented the concept of supervoters, which are a rotating group of users whose favorites are highly correlated to mine. Any posts these users vote on will get +5/-5 in contrast to the normal +1/-1.

No wonder there's a lot of images with 30+ scores lately. But I fear the way score works now becoming the one in Pixiv, high favorites/scores on comics with sub-par quality because people loves the context of them.
