It's just that the ones getting fixed are basic functionality, and the aesthetic bugs are getting down-prioritized until later.

This is true, but Albert has also been fixing aesthetic bugs. Prime example being how the Artists, Tags, and Pools links were hidden under More >>. He fixed them pretty quick after I posted an issue on GitHub.

I'm using Chrome on Mac OSX in private mode. None of my extensions should be messing with this sort of thing. Maybe if I have time later I'll take a look at what my browser is seeing as the source code.

I can reproduce this by using Chrome (does not occur on Firefox nor on IE).
A similarly strange string (#.USQbA6V9Kno) is appended to the end of URLs, and as a result the back button cannot be used after editing.

Anybody else using Chrome (or anything else) have this issue?

It sounds to me like an issue with how the contents of forms are returned. Does Danbooru 2.0 use HTML 5?

In any case, I'll suffer through it for now for the sake of bug-catching. If I had been using firefox, then I wouldn't have caught this problem.

Hmmm, I'd rather like it if all text boxes were wider by default. Like width:30%; minimum 200px or something.

re-code from scratch in a new programming language. So reverting a part of it isn't possible; there's nothing to revert to.

Complete rewrite, I think, but it's still Ruby. Also, it could be reverted if he really wanted to. He specifically mentioned accounting for this possibility.

...web programming doesn't work that way; you can't just mix-and-match the UI code and backend code in different languages.

Same language, but even if they were different, nothing prevents backend and frontend from being wildly different. Pretty much all programming works that way unless you're a complete novice.

So, the thing is that I was under the impression HTML5 WAS supported by Chrome. Also, what protocol does the page use to get the submitted tags? Is it GET or POST?

*EDIT* Okay, I just realized that I shouldn't be getting this involved in trying to fix this site when I have my own work to do.

Also, that instance where I went to a post and the image wasn't there, just the word "Sample"? Same thing happened in firefox, but without the image box taking up space.

Personally, just off the top of my head:
...
- page buttons at the bottom are needlessly huge
- bigger sized font looks really ugly and eats vertical space
- huge white space on the right when browsing posts
...
While I don't really care about them, Profile page does look ugly
...

I did post earlier but, if you use Firefox or Chrome you can use Stylish with the following to fix those things, as well as the image falling below the menu with thin windows:

Uploads page is back up, but it seems that the artist search is broken, as clicking the "Artist" button yields "Too many matching artists found."

Also, it's impossible to search for artists anymore. Even though I know some of them have a page already it's impossible to find their page to see if a URL is present on it, especially since wiki tabs for artists don't work anymore.

It looks like the system no longer sends you a DMail to inform you when you get new user feedback. Anyone else think this should be added back?

On a related note, I think receiving a DMail no longer triggers a big message at the top of the screen, which I think it should. Can anyone confirm this?

So what's this talk of platinum accounts I'm hearing? Anything I should care about?

I feel like that shouldn't be necessary. Also, what brower was this site designed for, IE? If it doesn't look good in chrome or firefox, then something needs to change.

I did. I sent Albert a query during the "Blank Level" problem. I didn't get that big note anymore. Instead, beside "My Account" was a number of new unread D-mail (in my case, "(2)" because sent me the same message twice in succession).

Yeah it shouldn't be, but I've no idea if the changes are meant to be permanent or not, at least style wise (images being pushed down is surely a bug). If most people are happy with how it looks now, it might not change back. There's no real solution except something like Stylish in that case so it doesn't hurt for it to be there.

I like sites Dark anyway, and Danbooru won't ever do that I think so I use Stylish for that. Stylish is pretty decent regardless of what's happening with the site right now.

Dmails need to have the green banner back, especially if it's regarding records. If you're constantly fucking up to warrant a record, you need to know about it and rectify it immediately. Even if you're not fucking up, I'm sure people will be glad to know they've gotten a positive record.

I fully agree with this statement. If you have to run plugins/mods to make this place look good you have a major problem.

Also The forum is having MORE major bugs with it. I edit my post and it becomes the only post on screen. I have to fully go back to forum tab then back to the page to see what's left on screen

I know it's a bit (by which I mean really) soon, but has anyone created a total black Stylish script or something similar yet? I created one from scratch a long long ways back but it doesn't work anymore, and I'm pretty amateur at CSS so I'm having trouble creating a new one or editing my old one to work everywhere with the new layout. The one flynch posted (http://hijiribe.donmai.us/forum_posts/84531) has some nice stuff but it's white background.
