post #6667758 and post #6667760 were deleted 2 hours ago. It says 11 approvers looked and they didn't like it. There are no further details than that. Is it just the artist that's the problem?

When they give some justification, they only say that's the image has "poor quality", but never explain what would be "poor quality".

Frankly, the lack of transparency bothers me.
You might just have to get used to it. It seems they don't really need uploads from any of us; there are already many approvers uploading a plethora of high-quality resources. Perhaps the best approach is to make a one-time payment to the platform and enjoy the content as a consumer/leecher. That way, everyone stays happy.

I have to PAY just to be happy on this site?

Please don't use this topic if you don't want to give any relevant feedback. This topic is for upload Feedback, not complains about the website.
Danbooru is happy about every new uploader, that contributes good quality uploads. Don't let them tell you otherwise.
Welp, I really like this site; I wasn't complaining. Otherwise, I would've stopped using it, fact.

If you say so.
Just keep uploading stuff that makes this site great, and maybe try not to speak for the entire Danbooru platform next time.

I'd be the 12th because of oversized bodyparts, the penis is as thick as their heads.

To be honest it should be made more evidently clear that the "poor quality" label refers to the looks and artistic skill visible in the image and not the resolution or lack of artifacts, but you have to admit that it was already explained to you what lacked quality in your uploads and you're still asking what's wrong about other uploads that have the exact same issues.

Japanese anime characters often have large eyes, sometimes even larger than their mouths.
Oh, and their noses are not even visible in some cases.
Perhaps Japan anime is just bad art; otherwise, it wouldn't make any sense about the justification.

You can't pay even if you want to. Gold upgrades are unavailable for the time being (topic #21157). You can still become a Builder if you contribute enough, and you'll get more benefits than from Gold. But frankly, I used the site for years before starting an account and got plenty of mileage out of the two-tag limit.

Some approvers will take the time to write specific reasons once in a while, but it would be impractical for them to write one for every post they have an issue with, especially since they're doing this during their free time. Doing so would just result in fewer posts getting approved because they'd be spending too much time on each post they don't like.
You might get more detailed feedback if you appeal your post, though you can only do so once.

Not liking something is all the justification an approver needs, and the number of approvers that like the aesthetics of anime art is probably much higher than those that like oversized penises. On the flip side, it only takes one approver to approve a post, so if there is an approver that likes this kind of material, they can always approve it later. In fact, many good posts that slip through the cracks get approved pretty regularly even if they were never appealed.

I would appeal in some cases, if it didn't mean losing three uploads. And I already have difficulty with the few uploads I have.
Okay, why the hell did post #6679385 get approved when post #6167291 was unapproved TWICE months prior??? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

It didn't get approved, it was uploaded by an unrestricted user. Those users don't have to send their uploads through the moderation queue.
Not liking something is all the justification an approver needs
Well, maybe that's the main reason why so many users are discontented with
it only takes one approver to approve a post
I have never been an approver before, but can they see other approvers' votes? If they can, then this might prevent some approvers from expressing their true opinions, in order to align with the mainstream thought.
Even if not, approvers can still "work" together, discussing the justification during the process.
So in the end, even if there are individuals who like the post, they may find it hard to vote "YES", don't you think?

Approvers are told to approve images they like. Approvers are promoted based on their uploads, because users that uploaded high quality images are sure also good at telling what is good enough for danbooru. This is the best sytem we have right now and it was talked about alot why another system wouldn't work that good.
We approvers can see how other approvers voted on images: if they think it breaks the rules (for example third-party edits), if they think it's poor quality or if they are just disinterested. But I can tell you that most of the time it doesn't matter at all. A lot of approvers are working alone without talking to other approvers, because there is no need to. Sometimes one is asking for other opinions, but this only happens for borderline images that are between good and poor.
It's simply not happening that approvers gonna spend more time into approving images by discussing one image after another. There are over 400 images per day in the queue that one approver has to judge and discussing every single image would take forever. This is the reason why you can appeal images, that you think deserve another try.
Anyway, the this topic is to ask for feedback, not to complain about the approval system. Please open a new topic, if you think that it's worth discussing.

this was appealed by someone else and disapproved
I guess it's how thick the legs are? (not that I'll agree with deleting it anyhow)
