Thing is, a random video screenshot of a game doesn't really count as official art, even if it's a signature victory animation; actual official art in a game *could* be screenshotted but even then it's just better to either extract it directly, or find a good quality online version posted somewhere.

Two of them have been uploaded 16 hours ago and they are still under pending approval. The time limit before deletion is three days. With that being said, just wait patiently and see if they will get approved or not.

Can I please ask why this wasn't approved? I'm aware that I'm over 2 months late and that the artists previous images were approved (although the last image approved on this site was over 2 years ago).

Can you help me identify which of the AI generated art flags it raises? I do not have much experience so I don't see any signs pointing to that. The character the art is of was released just a day or two before the art was posted and contains details that I did not think an AI could reproduce without more training on images. Thank you

It's tagged as AI on the guy's Pixiv everything on that account is.

all three of those are by the same artist of my same OC meanwhile another post #6631930 by the same artist and of the same OC was approved.
Also unrelated to the above mentioned why might post #6631894 be deleted as well? I didn't think there was a particular quality issue with this one
Hoping for a bit of feedback because I'd like to try and post all the commissions I have on this site, if they don't get approved that's ok, a little inconvenient but because I can still see them in the deleted post section of my account they're still sorta archived which is what I'm aiming for ever since imgur killed my OC albums. just hoping that if I can figure out what the criteria for not being approved is a little better then I can try to post them last since deletions affect my upload limit

Bear in mind i'm not an approver, but post #6633470 has some visible anatomy issues (even taking artstyle into account), and both post #6631788 and it's child post have this very off-putting positioning of the eyes on the head, and none of those issues are present in post #6631930 even if it's not perfect. I personally think the overall style is nice but i'm definitely not surprised those posts didn't get approved given what i've pointed out.

I see what you're saying, these comms are like a year+ old and I'm very biased to them so I really underestimated how off the anatomy looked, and tbh i thought off-putting anatomy would be fine if it looks like a stylized choice but i guess that was wrong, thank you for the explanation!

It's very much up to chance, it's not impossible that one approver may let it slide if they like it enough depending on the specific case, but it almost always significantly lowers the chances of approval

I agree with what Mayhem-chan said, posts are also approved individually. post #6631894 is sketchy, I rarely post and approve posts like that.

If your goal is to archive the images though, you got the right mindset. Status:deleted posts remain archived and anyone can search for them if they want.

Yeah my goal here is to archive, but that'll take a lot longer if my upload limit decreases, that's why I was hoping to get some info to let me make a guess if a particular image would be deleted or not so i can save those for the end. On that note once I finish uploading everything I have do you think it'd be worth a shot to try appealing the deleted ones? I know that takes up extra slots and can only be done per image, but if there's a chance they'd get approved I'll give it a shot if it doesn't negatively affect my account too much

Appealing posts doesn't affect your account in any other way than the extra slots taken temporarily
