Zenless Zone Zero tags and implications

Posted under Tags

Generally, it's preferred that named characters don't imply generic characters. Generic characters should either be limited to unnamed examples for ease of searching, or they should be turned into general tags so that all named examples can be grouped together.

Character implications are for multiple tags that belong to the same character. Bangboos are a type of creature, and Eous is a specific named one.

This is an old BUR that was made before there was any information on Bangboos, before there were posts with Eous and before I had a grasp on how to handle named representatives of a species/copyright-specific group of sentient beings. Bangboos are a species specific to Zenless Zone Zero and have named representatives, so thanks for bumping to remind me this exists.

For today I will be recategorising Bangboo to general and rejecting this BUR. There are other named Bangboos as well.

create alias lady sunbringer -> sunbringer (zenless zone zero)

Same character

@lavalore You must press Request alias/implication on the topbar to create a BUR, it doesn't work by writing a forum post. Also I gave the advice to create the tag as "Lady Sunbringer" without a qualifier but it's probably as valid as not calling Vike's tag "Colonel Vike" since it's a respectful way of address rather than an actual nobility title, so the direction is correct here. No need to BUR anyway; I can manually nuke the tag.

I think it's that time of the year once more.
Do we use full name tags or shortened tags? (previously discussed on: topic #18638 and many others)
I'd prefer the latter because of various reasons, we do so for Genshin, Arknights, and other games. Plus, there are characters like Nekomiya Mana whose playable (nick)name (Nekomata) is more popular, or characters whose names are too similar to others (like billy kid)

Genshin uses the name shown on the banners and menus. Kamisato Ayaka is what her name is everywhere in-game and in promotional materials, so that's what her tag uses. Arknights does the same, with real/full names only being found buried in profiles or random story scenes.

ZZZ uses the full name in a lot of places in-game. It's displayed when obtaining the character from the gacha, when viewing their status screen, and in most other menus.

Edit: Realized I forgot to mention, the Official Website as well as promotional materials also use their proper full names, with Lucy (zenless zone zero) and Alexandrina Sebastiane being the only exceptions in both cases, due to their names being too long, I guess. Their full names are displayed properly in-game, however, same as everyone else.

Updated

BUR #34619 is pending approval.

create alias asaba_harumasa_bangboo -> harumasaboo
create implication harumasaboo -> asaba_harumasa
create alias hoshimi_miyabi_bangboo -> miyabiboo
create implication miyabiboo -> hoshimi_miyabi

Alternate forms. "Harumasaboo" is the only one that's actually written in game text whereas Miyabi is following convention by use of her first name. I will handle Soukaku Bangboo in a separate topic because of a proposal I want to put forward regarding her main character tag.
