Can I tag bottomless in this image? Since the character seems to be half-furry (human head but with animalistic humanoid body) and does not wear a pant. Also is there any specific tag for these kinds of anatomy?

I'd say include all of that except detached_sleeves
post #6583052 could the shadow layer be considered halftone even if the dots are equally sized?

I'd just tag drop shadow.

well one does not need to overthink about tagging i guess

Equally sized and spaced means it's polka dots, not halftone. Edit: polka dot shadow

Nor should one underthink it. IMO your instinct was right that the dots in that picture should be tagged. They are visually distinctive, and someone may want to find them or use them to find the source of an image they see somewhere.I even think it could be worth a new tag like "polka dot shadow" for this effect, which may be rare but is certainly not unique to that post. After going through a bunch of pages I found post #5052415 and I'm sure there are more. The difficulty of finding them points to a tag being useful.
Edit: Well, turns out the polka dot shadow tag already exists, though it's surely undertagged. That's clearly the right tag for post #6583052.

What's the tag for when a character has fire clearly in their hands or fingers like this one? Because "holding fire" certainly isn't a tag.
How do we distinguish between leg warmers and loose socks in these situations:

Perhaps holding_flame? If this is indeed the appropriate tag for it there are certainly quite a few posts that could stand having this added to them.

How do we distinguish between leg warmers and loose socks in these situations:
- When they are worn with a shoe (post #6374053, post #6558524)
- When you can't see if it covers the feet/feet are out of the frame (post #6499828)
I asked about a similar situation on the discord when I was cleaning up pantyhose/leggings and was told tag pantyhose unless you can see for sure it's leggings.
So going by that logic, loose socks unless you can tell for sure it's leg warmers. But in that case, looking through leg warmers, like 95% of the posts would be switched to loose socks so I don't know if that's the right approach.

This has also been fairly confusing to me so i'd like an official guideline on the visual differenciation between loose socks and leg warmers; So far i've settled with tagging the former by default if it doesnt cover the shoes, and the latter otherwise, but it's still up in the air if that's a good way to go in the long term

post #6584710 i feel like the hand pose march does is something more than just v
stroking_own_chin is the closest I can think of. In different context that gesture could be a finger gun but that doesn't seem to fit here.
According to its wiki, v is supposed to be index and middle finger so I don't actually think that fits here either.
Weird question: post #6585436 depicts Hoshimachi Suisei singing a song she made before joining Hololive on a street corner, so I imagine it's supposed to be pre-Hololive Suisei. Part of me wants to tag indie virtual youtuber because that describes what's in the picture... but that's entirely contextual information... but again so is almost every application of the virtual youtuber tag... Does tagging indie here make any sense at all, or does Suisei = Hololive simple as that?
