Pointless Pools

The Videogames pool is just a small pool made by someone who didn't know that the video_game tag existed. It's definitely pointless.

I agree that the Animification pool would fit better as a tag.

The Portrayed pool is subjective, but I wouldn't say that it's pointless. It seems like a reasonable collection pool.

Oh, yeah I glossed over the videogames one.

I suggest using the motherly tag to replace all "motherly X" pools:

The motherly tag currently has 2 posts (post #562466, post #410849) which is used instead of a "Motherly Kanako" pool.

Poorly defined, barely filled, created by a user who's spammed similarly stupid pools.

I might as well ask here, since it was decisions here that led to it...

Is there any way to make a two-tags-together search into a tag subscription entry? One of my favorite pools was pool #6274, "Motherly Yuuka," and every day I'd check to see if new pics had been added (since tag subscriptions are broken, I check such pools by clicking on each entry in the subscription list.)

Now that the pool's been eliminated, I don't see any other way to search for my favorite character portrayal other than manually typing in "motherly kazami_yuuka" into the search box every time I want to search. Is there some Danbooru facility I don't know about that would let me at least create a one-click link for the search in my profile?

This isn't currently possible, but it sounds like a good idea for a new feature. Something similar was recently suggested.

pool #5984 - Touhou - Insanely Detailed Costumes
Reasons:

• There's no reason to limit this pool to touhou images only
• We already have a general-purpose pool #4983 - Exquisite Clothes
• The pool seems to be used for any banpai akira art regardless of costume details.
• Most images in the pool do not fit the definition (post #1240575 and similar)
• Those that do fit the definition should be migrated to pool #4983 (this can be done even after the pool is deleted)

No reason not to use the heavy_metal tag instead.

No, it can't, or rather we don't want to. "shameimaru_aya inubashiro_momiji himekaido_hatate" gets what you want better than this pool does. We don't adjust the site's organisation to accommodate for the 2 tag search limit for basic members.

Rather than putting all this effort into getting around that limit, contribute something useful to the site and get yourself promoted.

Maybe pool objective should be clarified instead of deletion? Like the same trio showing signs of collaboration / good relationship (including afterparty scenes), not just appearing in the picture together.

That's only trying to turn the pool into something that cannot be searched with tags and that's not useful.
The whole "not fighting" requirement in itself is already arbitrary and not worth having a pool for. "Not fighting" already applies to the vast majority of not just this 3-character combination, but any tag search.
How many images do we have of shameimaru_aya inubashiri_momiji himekaidou_hatate chartags:3 fighting. Yeah, zero.
In other words: +1 for deletion
Edit: and +1 for the deletion of pool #5110 for the exact same reasons.
