The "series" is just "Chibi Flan", so the pictures are just of chibi Flans. There's nothing special about the chibi Flan that would require it to be separated from a regular search, either.
I find it curious that my Sexy Back (which was essentially a "Perfect" pool, but I thought the name was catchier) got deleted almost instantly, yet pools like Perfect Thighs and Perfect Neck and so on are perfectly fine, apparently. Double standards, much?

It's not double standards; in general, these pools are not allowed. The ones that do exist have special reasons to be exceptions:
Hands, feet and shading are notoriously hard to get right and take considerable skill to draw "photo-realistically", so there's merit in highlighting such images.
The legs, eyes and hair pool are there because artists often omit any detail (sausage legs, blobs of colour for hair and eyes), so again there's some merit in collecting them.
The breasts, ass, legs and tail pools are there because a large number of people agree on the same subjective criteria for images in those pools. Also they're very old, so no-one wants to get rid of them.

Was mostly covered above but I will add this from awhile back in a paraphrase:
If the name of the pool is someones attempt at trying to be "cute" it could get deleted.

Ah, so we should delete 'What Do You Mean, It's Not Awesome?', 'God Damn It, [insert Touhou character here]!', 'Your Curtain Doesn't Match Your Carpet' (or rename it "Pubic hair that has a different colour than the hair on her head". Catchy!), 'Doesn't that hurt?', 'Let's Go For a Walk', 'Told you not to do that' and more? Yeah, that sounds like a rule that exists.
If you're going to delete threads you don't like and keep others for completely arbitrary reasons, at least have the common decency to admit it. That's the main problem with Danbooru (apart from all the pedophiles): the admins have absolutely no respect for their own rules. Why do we even have them, if nobody follows them?

I wouldn't say so. There's plenty of humorous pool names that are perfectly fine. The issue will always only be with the pool's purpose and the images in it if it's beyond worth reviving. If it's a bad name, the pool gets re-named, not deleted.

Except there isn't a rule like that. Sexy back has the same problems Perfect waist had (problems I pointed out above).
Edit: Now you're just bashing the admins (and me) who take time out of their lives (and enjoyment of the site) to manage the beast that is danbooru and it's community. Danbooru's history is full of unexpected problems that have been dealt with by adding rules and features to the site as people found new ways to abuse features and loop-holes. Having managed online communities myself, and having dealt with people like you there, I can confidently say that you merely perceive the community as unjust because you don't appreciate the full extent of what goes on across the whole site. If you would only trust that there are good reasons for most of how the site works, you'll see that no-one is treating you un-fairly and the rules and guidelines stuck to by everyone.
Edit: tl;dr: You're complaining that not everyone follows the rules when really, you misunderstand what the rules are. If you have a complaint with the rules, then that's fine, but say so.

And for the record, that's bullshit and you know it. First of all, if it was a criteria that a bodypart had to be "photo-realistic" (as in detailed, and perfectly lifelike), most of the Perfect pools would be nearly empty. Secondly, a good, anatomically correct back is at least as hard to draw as the "legal" bodyparts. Even if you search for "from_behind" or "bare_back", most of the pics you'll see will have shoulderblades, the curve of the spine, musculatute and so wrong.
Oh, why am I even trying to argue with you people. This isn't about logic. All mods on Danbooru are corrupt, circlejerking assholes by default, and many are completely open about it. Which just makes it more disgusting, and really hard to keep some kind of order around here.

I should have been clear, they should be descriptive and not just cute.
For the other part see below.

While I do recall the name being an issue for deletion of said pool (second link) the end result was a renaming and eventual deletion for whatever reason.
I admit I am remembering the specific issue (Sugar & spice) wrong.
Either the comic was deleted or the pool is empty, I can't tell. (Would be very interested in seeing the comic if it was there, though; many of his other works are on dabooru).
Edit: Whoops, forgot you could find them through the history and it seems they're all hard translated. It would be nice if someone could find the originals.
Edit: I had a look on his pixiv and couldn't find them, ah well.
pool #5272 - First attempt to create a pool for Bkub's Idolmaster Cinderella Girls doujinshi "Giant Skip". However, programming updates at the time made the pool impossible for anyone but me to update, and only by adding a "pool:5272" tag. I've transferred the contents over into a new pool and emptied the old one, retitled "Please Delete".
Is this a "the most unlikely genderswaps" kind of pool? I'd say that every genderswap except Kyonko/Ranma/Naruko etc. are already unlikely enough and there aren't any objective criteria under which a genderswap can be called "uncommen".
Also, one of the 3 examples (post #1148673) is a genderswap of Mario and Princess Peach, characters of the world's most well known video game franchise, so you would expect there to be Mario genderswap images somewhere on the internet.
Did delete pool #5097 - "Chibi Flan SAC," due to the given reasons. It isn't that hard of a visual search to find the images with a simple ichimi flandre_scarlet tag search either.
Did delete pool #5416 - "Perfect Thighs," and copied the images over to pool #1168 - "Hot Legs."
Didn't delete pool #5271 - "Mages Guild of Gensokyo," letting that issue resolve in forum #76114.
Didn't delete pool #329 - "SweetSnake," I need more information on this one. Most of the images in the pool are not tagged genderswap, and going by comments on post #293107 the characters aren't genderswapped but are cosplaying. Of the images I checked on pixiv, those that were tagged genderswap were done so by a 3rd party and not the artist.
Didn't delete pool #5408 - "Pokémon Battle Royale," since this seemed to follow other image collections. Additionally given that pokemon are numbered, allowing the collection to be ordered numerically would probably make the collection better.
Didn't delete pool #2178 - "The Story of Rain," as the comic still exists, it's just deleted.
I Didn't go over pool #5432 - "Rule 63," to give more time for comments by others. As S1eth points out what qualifies as "unlikely" doesn't seem very well defined. It should also be noted that the rule_63 tag is already aliased over to genderswap.
