With the exception of Wypatroszony, who has actually contributed to the site in a substantiative way, I would like to see everyone who has commented on that post warned, banned, and/or fired into the sun from a cannon.

The comments have become much worse since then, but the only user I would considering worth banning is ultramar.
Could a mod please take a look at his comment history? He regularly accuses users of being pedophiles. 13 of his 36 comments are highly offensive, such as:

Man you are just dumb as hell.

You are a pedophile

Why don't you jerk off over prepubescent anime girls about it

i just only want to confirm if we received a take down notice from the artist masquevale? his artist entry is recently edited and posts' artist tag, wiki, and sources removed by a newly registered user or is this a minor case of vandalism or a deed done by the 'artist' himself?

EDIT: it seems like a false alarm. i'll be re-editing the entries to reflect the connection between the two assuming masquevale and aeues are the same artist. thanks.

Updated

Whoever it was they're not a vandal. They replaced dead pixiv links with live deviantart ones, and removed the masquevale tag because the artist apparently isn't using that name anymore. They're just trying to update the information.

Dead link or not, we still keep them all the same, and changing source links to one where it wasn't originally uploaded (dead or not) is not proper protocol. People that don't know how Danbooru operates have no business trying to fix anything.

I may be wrong here, but wasn't it acceptable to replace source link with another one if new source has the same md5 hash as the originally uploaded image?

(Just a general question, I didn't check if this is applicable to the situation at hand.)

Translation request bumps are annoying and useless enough as it is, but now we have at least two users (or sockpuppets) completely dedicated to posting blank comments to bump images to the top of the page. Seems to me this sort of thing is not only rude and possibly discouraging to potential translators, but a complete misuse of the system.

Said accounts are Translation bump and I demand translation.

I missed this translation bump stuff but someone could just inform the user that translation bumps don't work, it's not 2008. There are more than 5 comments a day now.

Then, should we treat those bumps as spams (warnings -> records -> bans)?

Sounds correct to me but wait for someone else to chime in before going beyond warnings.

no? offering translation is the only reason why this site is still alive. otherwise its just another artwork thief dwelling

so someone reported these accounts for the so-called justice, or e-penis, or cardboardbox rank promotion, whatever. but actually everyone hopes translators works lifelessly for you as if they are your slaves. you curse 'where the hell are these moonspeakers idling?' when your favorate series is not getting translated. thats what translation_request tag is for.
