All Honkai Impact characters need to list all outfits in their top-level wiki, like I've done for Elysia. It's a nightmare trying to understand which tag to use when a character has multiple forms with multiple outfits and they're not all listed in one place.

After doing this, I'm not sure why we're even separating outfits by battlesuit. When I look at Elysia's costume tags, I see nothing that visually indicates that XMas Cottage is a Miss Pink Elf skin while Peachy Spring is a Herrscher of Human: Ego skin. They may be treated as belonging to different battlesuits in game, but that doesn't mean we need to reflect that in our tagging. It'd be simpler to me if all skins implied the base character tag and the battlesuit tags were only used for the default battlesuit appearance.

I'm not sure either why we have separations like this; sounds like a project I can get behind. Honkai Impact 3rd tagging has always been incredibly inconsistent in treatment of the base chartags between the older and newer ones, and I unfortunately perpetuated that a little bit when I started doing some cleaning, as did xcv when he did some mass implication submissions (some of which are wrong and I've still yet to fix).

Ultimately the only thing linking these together and why we have them implied to battlesuit tags is the head area and associated time period. Honkai Impact 3rd no longer has costumes that work across each version of the character so I wouldn't be opposed to reducing our current implication layering down to two in some cases, as right now we have three (the worst case is four due to disagreements with how we treat Theresa Apocalypse (Lunar Vow: Crimson Love)).

We can have both the base costume for a character version and official alternate costumes on the same second layer, and everything else that isn't a chartag can just use the base chartag + alternate costume.

ETA: I will, however, say though, that there are some cases where it just makes sense to separate them by battlesuit for searchability reasons, especially when the base chartag doesn't do a good enough job of separating different versions of a character apart that someone might want to search.

Creates a subtag for her default appearance and implies it to the base chartag. It's on the same level as her other official alternate costume, Thelema Nutriscu (Gentle is the Night). The favgroup excludes cases where there are no recognisable or major elements of the default outfit in the image, alternate costumes and cases where I felt it wasn't reasonable to use the tag.

Similarly not ambiguous to anything and a shared character between Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail like Welt Yang. The greater majority of cast members of both franchises don't need, don't have and/or shouldn't have qualifiers, so this keeps it consistent and helps searchability.

I'm choosing to melt down Void Archives (Cube) (Honkai Impact) because that can just be tagged as alternate form, and due to current story progression for both Honkai games, most artists are depicting him in his human form and that's what searchers will mostly be here to find, particularly in the case of welt_yang void_archives_(honkai_impact).

I'm still slightly bothered that the person who created these tags decided to shoehorn them into larger costume implication BURs even though they are completely wrong and I even explained why they were (forum #305097). This needs to get undone. The person who messed up this tag used the wiki as an authoritative word (to which the wiki is wrong, they're universally applicable outfits, the wiki only lists the base applicable character but not all of them), and even then it already makes no sense to imply them to the battlesuit chartags when they can and should be implied to the base chartag.
